Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture
On his return to the UK Sam Dyson decided to further his
understanding of martial arts by following in the footsteps of the
traditional Chinese and Japanese martial arts masters. In the past
almost all martial arts masters had a good working understanding of
anatomy and the workings of the body and often practised some form
of holistic medicine such as Chinese Medicine.
In 2005 he enrolled in a degree program at the College of
integrated Chinese medicine to gain an understanding of Chinese
medicine acupuncture. After four years he completed his studies of
Chinese medicine and acupuncture. While studying he focused
on musculoskeletal injuries and emotional problems but has also had
experience treating fertility problems and assisting with IVF.
His understanding of Chinese medicine and the study of the
energetics of the body has assisted a great deal to further his
understanding of the martial arts.
He is one of the only pressure point instructors in Europe who
has studied Chinese medicine and acupuncture which form the
foundation of pressure point fighting or Dim Mak.
