Strength training and body conditioning in terms of fitness and stamina is an integral part of any martial arts training. No matter the skill level of the martial artist if they do not have the strength and the conditioning they will find that the use of those martial arts against an aggressive assailant very difficult. Therefore along with any martial arts training there must be strength and conditioning as an integral part. This type of training is designed to increase strength but not to increase size, it is also designed to increase the explosive power throughout the body so that the martial arts techniques can be delivered with devastating force.
